Facials for Men

In the present, men are beginning to come out of their shells finally. In other words, they are beginning to pamper their bodies and faces just as much as women do. In fact, some men pamper themselves more than women do. By pampering themselves, they go out and get men facials, along with pedicures and manicures. Many men believe that you can also feel good if you look good. In fact, there are such spas that cater to giving just facials for men. Believe it or not, a man facial is different from a women’s facial. With a man, facials are different because a man has larger pores, causing them to produce more oil than women.

In addition, men are prone to be outdoors more than women causing the skin to be sun damaged and dehydrated by the sun or harsh shaving jells or creams. With a man’s facial, they are focused on dehydrating, exfoliating to remove impurities, and to renew the skin. In addition, many spas say that men should get a monthly facial just as women do. It is said by many men, that for a man, facials make them feel they “awake” with a sense of calmness, and having a refreshed feeling of mind as well as the skin. The cost of facials men that pay, all varies upon what kind of facial they get or what they have done. In fact, they say that giving a facial for men with beards, is a very good idea. A facial is good because it helps to make the hair grow out, rather than having an in-grown hair which is often caused by shaving.

In addition, the facial care for African American men is different from Caucasian American men. They are different because African Americans are more prone to getting in-grown facial hair due to them naturally having a slight curve to their hair. The in-grown hairs are now referred as “razor bumps”; but technically it is “Pseudofolliculitis Barbae (PFB). In fact, if the PFB gets bad enough, a male will have to get topical antibiotics to treat the bumps and inflammation. That is only because there is no cure for PFB.

In many spas, there is at least one “men” facial picture hanging up next to female facial pictures. Most likely if there are not picture of men getting a facial, that spa does not give them to men.
