Normal Skin

Skin is considered the most important part of the body, mostly because of all it does for us and the protection it gives us. Because of this, it is very important that we take care of our skin and not take it for granted. There are different types of skin: dry, oily, combination (normal), sensitive and aged (sun damaged). Some of don’t really know what type of skin we have unless it is an extreme type.

Because a few oils are natural, you may have oily to normal skin or normal to oily skin and still have normal skin type. Our skin needs a certain amount of oil to remain healthy. The deciding factor is that you don’t have too many oils. There are actually lotions and creams designed specifically for oily normal skin and normal oily skin.

If you are one of the lucky ones, you have normal skin. It is important to care for your skin by using as many natural products as you can. If you use skin care products that you purchase, make sure you get products for your skin type. First, you need to determine if normal or oily skin type fits you. Your normal skin flora will need to get good treatment to stay healthy.

When we are born, most of us are born with a normal skin cell. There are factors in our daily lives that contribute to our skin being anything other than normal. Some of it is heredity, but there are other factors such as improper hygiene, insufficient consumption of nutrients and vitamins, over exposure to sunlight for an extended period of time, health issues and aging. If you are in doubt as to what normal skin looks like, go to your local library or a dermatologist and look at pictures of normal skin cells. Your library can be a wealth of information for anything you want to know about proper skin care.

The best description of normal skin is clear, glowing, smooth, and firm in texture. Normal skin has medium pores and good circulation. If there is dryness, it is usually on the cheeks with any oily spots being on the t-zone area. The best way to keep normal skin type is to maintain good cleaning habits using cleansing solutions that are recommended for your skin like a gentle cleanser in the morning and a deep cleaning product in the evening. For the mature adult, a glycolic wash is recommended to help rid the body of the dry dead skin that may build up. If you use makeup, make sure your skin is not allergic to it, and always wash it off completely before retiring for the night.
